  • A Man Who Was Superman (DVD) (Final Cut) (Limited Edition) (Korea Version) DVD Region 3 Jeon Ji Hyun (Actor) | Hwang Jung Min (Actor) | Jeong Yun Cheol (Director)
Sassy girl Jeon Ji Hyun finally breaks her two-year silence, making her long-awaited celluloid comeback in A Man Who Was Superman, a romantic comedy helmed by Jeong Yun Cheol (Marathon). Boldly renouncing the beloved wholesome image her fans have long been accustomed to, Jeon plays a chainsmoking, tomboyish documentary filmmaker who falls in love with a mentally challenged man who believes himself to be Superman.

The unlikely superhero is deliciously portrayed by Chungmuro's new leading man Hwang Jung Min (Happiness, You Are My Sunshine). Like Superman, Hwang wears the big letter S on his chest and the trademark S-shaped spit curl on his forehead. Some scenes from the original Superman movie are spoofed in the film with Jeon and Hwang appearing as Lois and Clark, offering a nostalgic moment for many who grew up watching the comic book superhero come alive on screen. Despite director Jeong's failed effort to feature the actual Superman theme song in his picture (largely due to a high royalty fee), A Man Who Was Superman nevertheless makes a stunning entrance like no other.

After three years of making one sappy human documentary after another, filmmaker Song Su Jung (Jeon Ji Hyun) is at her wit's end. Hoping for a refreshing change, she signs up for an African safari shoot only to see it get axed. Adding to her misery, someone mugs her precious camera. "Help! A thief!" Hearing the damsel's cry, a man (Hwang Jung Min) wearing a Hawaiian shirt runs after the thief and retreives the camera. The mystery hero then explains to Su Jung in detail about how he could not use his usual supernatural powers because Mr. Evil has implanted Kryptonite in his head. Yes, the man is Superman, or more precisely, a self-professed Superman - nonetheless, a newsworthy subject! Su Jung follows him around shooting his daily activities, which consist of frivolous - but in small degrees, heroic acts, such as finding lost pets and performing handstands in an attempt to distance the Earth from the Sun to prevent the North Pole from melting. Then one day, the man injures his head and Su Jung takes him to the hospital where she discovers that her superman does indeed, have something in his head.

This edition contains the final edited version of the film which is different from the theatrical cut. Comes with making of, rehearsal, poster shoot, trailer, and other extras.

  • Nowhere To Turn (DVD) (Korea Version) DVD Region All Cha Soo Yeon (Actor)
No money, no talent, and no strings to pull. Now what? Up-and-coming director Lee Seung Young (Byul Soon Geom) opens up a dialogue between the audience and the twenty-something generation, who are often criticized for their lackadaisical attitude towards work and career in the delightful coming-of-age drama Nowhere To Turn . The film features a strong commanding performance from Cha Soo Yeon, Chungmuro's rising starlet who recently garnered much praise for her exquisite role in the gripping psychological film Beautiful.

In her latest role, Cha plays a 26-year-old slacker who struggles to come to terms with her transition from post-collegiate life to adulthood. Interestingly, Cha saw much of herself in her role and reportedly asked the director to have her character's name be replaced with her own. The film also marks the acting debut of award-winning musical director Bang Jun Seok (Sunny, Radio Star, JSA). Ensuring the film's continued appeal is the movie's soundtrack, which features the melancholic acoustic-strummed tunes of indie band Sogyumo Acacia Band. Smart, introspective and funny all in one small package, Nowhere To Turn is a young director's triumph of art over budget.

Twenty-six-year-old college graduate Soo Yeon (Cha Soo Yeon) may be jobless and also clueless about her future; but she does have one big dream: to study music in England. The only problem is that she has neither the talent nor the drive for her goal. One day she runs away from home and shacks up with her friend Dong Ho (Yoo Ha Joon, Beastie Boys). Together, they form a band in hopes of entering the upcoming music competition. Despite Dong Ho's obvious signs of affection, Soo Yeon turns her eyes to a smooth-talking musician Hyun (Bang Jun Seok) though she is too blind to see his ulterior motives.

  • What Happened Last Night? (DVD) (Korea Version) DVD Region 3 Ye Ji Won (Actor) | Tak Jae Hoon (Actor) | Kim Jeong Min (Director)
A wild one-night stand turns into a hysterical manhunt in the breezy, lighthearted comedy What Happened Last Night?. Kim Jeong Min (One Day Suddenly - Dark Forest) directs two of the best oddballs in Chungmuro - infallible all-around entertainer Tak Jae Hoon (Little Prince, The Worst Guy Ever) and the quirky but lovable beauty Ye Ji Won (Femme Fatale, Old Miss Diary), who brings her winning combination of loopy charm and eccentric wit to the film. A hilarious comedy filled with outrageous gags and slapstick, What Happened Last Night? is the perfect film for kicking back and having a good time.

Yoo Jin (Ye Ji Won) is a thirty-two year-old single woman who belongs to the category of "yellow miss" (a Korean term for "thirty-plus, single, broke, and miserable") as opposed to "gold miss" (thirty-plus, single, successful, and living a rich and fulfilling life). With neither savings nor marriage prospects, Yoo Jin resorts to social drinking to escape from her daily grind. Unfortunately, alcohol becomes her worst enemy and she soon develops a nasty habit of blacking out after drinking, ultimately costing her job.

She finds a new job at a bar owned by her longtime pal Cheol Jin (Tak Jae Hoon) who has long put up with his friend's crazy drunken antics throughout their 10-year friendship. But Yoo Jin's wake-up call finally arrives in the form of a drunken one-night stand, when Yoo Jin finds herself naked in a bed with utterly no memory of who she was with the night before. What's more shocking is that the hotel slaps her with a hefty bill sending her into an utter rage! With so much at stake, Yoo Jin desperately searches for clues to nail down her mystery man. But is she ready for the ultimate shock of her lifetime?
